Provided over 10 beach cleaning events and sustainability webinars for corporations

In March, V’air partnered with AIA and nine environmental organisations to host one of Hong Kong’s largest beach cleaning events. Four hundred volunteers successfully removed over 310 kilograms of waste from various beaches across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories, preventing marine pollution.

Additionally, we led a team of Yan Chai volunteers in a beach clean-up at Ting Kok, tackling illegal waste disposal. By assisting volunteers in using waste classification cards and introducing the local historical culture and waste sources, we inspired participants to integrate waste reduction into their daily lives.

In April, V’air conducted an online webinar for MTR employees, introducing core concepts of sustainability, carbon neutrality, and ESG. The session placed emphasis on Hong Kong’s 2050 carbon neutrality target and four key decarbonisation strategies. Practical examples such as reducing private car usage, adopting a plant-based diet, and using energy-efficient appliances were shared to encourage participants to incorporate sustainability into their daily choices, promoting environmental awareness and behavioural change.

In August, V’air collaborated with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups to deliver two workshops for around 30 students on sustainable tourism. Using E-SWOT analysis, participants gained a deeper understanding of the challenges between tourism and conservation, enabling them to design field-based travel itineraries. Interactive learning encouraged students to translate sustainability concepts into action.

Joint-School HKDSE Geography Fieldwork-Based Question ALL-IN-ONE Course

From June to July, V’air and the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Educators Association co-hosted an outdoor field course tailored for DSE Geography candidates. Under the guidance of professional geography tutor Professor Titus Chan and V’air expert guides, 35 students collected first-hand data at Clear Water Bay Beach and Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate. The course combined practical use of instruments and exam strategies to study coastal and industrial zones, bringing textbook concepts to life through exam-focused, sustainability-based learning.
